The explosion blasted off the kitchen window. The broken frame and glasses fell on the cars parked below the building and damaged some of the cars badly. Thank goodness none was hurt nor killed in this accident. Can you imagine what would happen if someone was sitting in one of the cars that got hit? It’s going to take some work and time to restore the apartment, the family affected most probably would need temporary home while the restoration work goes on.

This fire involves only one family losing their home. Unlike the wildfire that affected residents in San Diego and Southern California, thousands of families have lost their homes and are waiting to return. Many would need immediate temporary shelters while payout from insurance companies or restoration work may take some time. Some insurance companies may have their clients stay temporary at the executive housing provided by National Corporate Housing, a company that provides beautiful furnished corporate homes in many locations throughout the United States.

But, it does get us talk about a bit because it occurs in the town where the big boy lives and where I am going to move into! In this little town with population less than 50k, it’s a big news, everyone was gluing to the TV watching the news coverage.

Can you recognize this handsome and dashing young man? He just bit the dust. It was such a shock to hear on the news that Actor Heath Ledger was found, naked, unresponsive and later pronounced dead in a Lower Manhattan apartment. A possible drug overdose is rumored.

What is this with actors or actresses with drugs? We hear so much news of them going in and out of drug rehab and now another one died of overdose!

The Australian born 28 years young man was perhaps best known for his portrayal of Ennis De Mar in “Borkenback Mountain” , the role that earned him an Oscar nomination. What a horrible tragic for his family!

A recent survey found, we’ve grown more dependent on our computers, take our computer’s failures personally, feeling anger, sadness or alienation if the computer did not cooperate or perform well, some admitted they have wanted to strike their computers.

I think it should not be too shocking that many of us spend so much time with our computers as they are after all the primary tool we use at work. But the rise of the Internet has also transformed our personal computers into our personal assistant for communication, research, shopping, media storage, and entertainment. The more we use the Internet, the more we depend on it.

Apart from “working” hours, would you be surprised when added up the total number of hours you spend on the computer and on the web? When we spend so much time on computers, it’s understandable that we take computer failures personally.

As much as we enjoy the Internet, it’s time for many of us to realize how easily this addictive new medium can consume us. You need to decide if that relationship is more important than the one you have with your spouse. :-)

DNA tests: Body found in bag is Nurin (update 3)

PETALING JAYA: Selangor police have said that DNA tests on the body found stuffed in a sports bag on Monday in Petaling Jaya show that it is that of missing girl Nurin Jazlin Jazimin.

However, the police proposed a second DNA test be conducted to confirm this after eight-year-old Nurin’s parents refused to accept the positive DNA results released here on Thursday.

Selangor police chief deputy commissioner Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said the DNA results released by the Forensics Department at about 2pm on Thursday showed a match between the DNA of both of Nurin’s parents and that of the body. more news
