In the last four years, have only been to the theater 2-3 times., could not even remember the last movie watched!  However, in the last few weeks, have watched three movies in the theater, kind of a personal record breaking!

When I was down in PJ attending the medical check-up and visa interview three weeks ago,  went for dinner and saw”Money no enough” with my sisters. Last week, saw Babylon A.D alone. And this weekend, met up with my good friend SP for farewell, we went for lunch,  spent the whole afternoon yakking, then watched “Mamma Mia” before we moved on to her house to say goodbye to her mother and sister. SP made a resolution to visit me  in IL next year. :-)

Rushing like a mad woman this morning because someone wasted my whole evening talking to me about a product that I am not interested!

It certainly takes a lot of thick skin to do hard sale like this, what can I do but to serve her a cup of tea and let her talked my ears off. What would you do in such situation? Would you just tell her off or tell her you are busy and open the door?:-)

Met up with a few ex colleagues last week. They were surprised to learn that we have sold the tutoring business. When they learned that I am working mostly online this days, they immediately thought I am running an online store. They kept asking questions on the distribution network of the products and which warehousing service provider is used. Even though I tried to explain, but they got so caught up with the idea of me running an online store, no amount of explanation shed any light. For instance, if you are distributing clothings, you may need climate controlled and protected facilities. During the mid 90s, I rented a house near work and subletting it to a few other women. One of the roommates whom I be friended was a Thai national. She used to work as a ground officer for one of the airlines. At the age of 27, she decided that it was her last chance to pursue a totally different career path, she either go for it or live to regret it, as a result, she applied to the flight attendant school and got accepted!

She really enjoyed the traveling opportunities she got through her flying career. But, as a diva who is not used to serving others, she doesn’t really like the nature of the job, thus did not stay long. She quited after working as a flight attendant fortwo2 years and went back to work on the ground.

My friend just moved back to her hometown after living and working in New York City for many years. She worked in the publishing field and loved the vibrant Big Apple very much. She and her husband moved from this small town to Big Apple after they got married seven years ago. But her husband was not so adaptable. If she was like a fish in the water in New York City, her husband was like the fish out of water. :-)

What can she do in this situation? If they want the marriage to continue, she has to make some sacrifices on her part. They sold the Manhattan real estate they owned. Though the real estate market was not fantastic, they were able to get out before the subprime crisis.

They were able to do it within a short period with the help of the real estate company. In fact, statistic had shown that people are able to sell their property consistently at a higher price by engaging a real estate company like Prudential Douglas Elliman !
