Went to stamp the tenancy agreement at the Inland Revenue Department. Reached there at 3.35 p.m, they have already close the counter collecting cash for stamping!! What the hell, it didn’t make sense! The afternoon office hours are 2:00-5.00 p.m , do they need one and half hours to balance the account? What to do? Drove out to post office and bought the duty stamps and got the stamping done.

The Inland Revenue office is temporary housed at the mall that has a Cineplex. It was pretty hot outside, my car on the rooftop parking lot was probably heated up like an oven.

“Babylon A.D” was starting in five minutes, so bought the ticket and hid inside the air conditioned theater for two hours. The heat subsided by the time I got out at 6.30 p.m. Babylon A.D is quite a bad movie, with broken plots and the ending was abrupt and careless. Though the trailer looked great, it is one of the worst movies that I have watched in the past few years!

Thanks to the Gucci Gang, Wendy Puyat, Tim Yap, DJ Montana and Celine Lopez, the main “sponsors” of my blogs. Traffics have been riding high on certain keywords and were getting so much organic traffics in the past one week. It was indeed very thrilling and exciting for me, more than the scandal itself !!

Don’t we all like to read these sometime wicked and evil yet tantalizing gossips. You read of the latest sex scandals, who have drug problems and just got enrolled into drug treatment centers, who is pregnant, who fall out with who, etc.

Personally I don’t buy glossy magazines, but every time when I am at the hair dresser waiting for my turn, I like to read them to catch up with the latest celebrity gossips and scandals. I do wonder, how do these paparazzis got hold of all these information? Do they sniffing around the celebrities or do they just spin the stories.

By the way, if you are here looking for the Gucci Gang’s scandal and gossips, you can read about it at http://delfindjmontano.blogspot.com.

It was an action packed movie, watching the movie ends with so many damages and injured people made me think that all of the Pennsylvania personal injury lawyer were about to get a lot of new business! :-) Obviously I was not a bit impressed with all the explosives and actions, so I’m giving it a thumbs down.

Commonly known as Lydia Shum, she was well known for her size and hearty laughters. I suspect very few people in the Chinese speaking world do not know her. She and her signature dark rimmed glasses, affectionately known to peers and fans as Fei-fei.

To me, she was one tough cookie, I had much great admiration for her courage to pick up the pieces and moved on with life when her husband left her for a younger woman. May her soul rest in peace.

My parents in law have moved from CA to IL after retirement, one of the things they missed is the annual Livermore Rodeo parade. They have always been part of the parade for the past 30 odd years they live there.

My father in law was part of the organizing team and the announcer for the parade for many years. He even got to be the Grand Marshall in 2004.

Have you ever participated in a rodeo parade? I have only watched some rodeo parades on the TVs. However, I have probably heard enough of all the descriptions the cowboys, the Stage Coaches, the marching bands, the floats, the Rodeo Rockettes, the crowds dressed in western and all the exciting happening during the parade. :-) This is just a rodeo parade for a supposedly small town. Can you imagine what is it like to have all the best rodeo champions gathered for a Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) at Las Vegas?

I asked the big boy whether he had heard of the WNFR since he used to work and live in Las Vegas for a couple of years. He told me he saw the Wranglers cowboys signing autographs at the tourist mall that he worked, but he is not sure where is the signed autograph now (Roll eyes).

May be you have always wanted to see a live rodeo event? If you are going to be in Las Vegas this December, while checking good deals on Las Vegas Hotels, you might want to pick up a couple of WNFR Tickets so you may get to see the show too while there.

As our internet speed getting faster and broadband more affordable in the last few years, the User generated video sites are the popular thing that create a lot of buzzes on the web. Do you have accounts with some of the well known free video sharing sites? Do you know they are several others out there and one of them is YawpBox.

Like most free video sharing sites, you just have to create a free account with a valid email. Then, you will be able to rate stories, videos and pictures. For the general public and blogger like me, another free video hosting site like YawpBox can only be a good thing, the more the merrier, so to speak. I have taken some videos of the Montessori environment, the students and the presentations of materials, the only kind of videos that I have taken so far, though I might use a video every now and then instead of writing a post on my blogs. :-)

I think free video hosting sites are utilized for a lot more purposes than just hosting homemade videos. I know the entertainment industry has been using it to share movie trailers to create buzzes. The independent film makers also use it to share their latest projects. I have also seen a couple of wonderfully made but no longer in production Montessori videos on the video hosting sites that otherwise many people would not have access to them at all. Of course all of us have watched many of the hillarious and funny videos that got pass through our email list, sometime this kind of videos really make my day when I was all stressed out at work.:-)

Have you ever considered sharing a video that could be used in a TV show? A segment on YawpBox that called YawpBoxTV hosted by Lex and Terry will share their insights with witty commentary on some of the popular user uploaded videos at YawpBox. If your video is good and creative, Lex & Terry will feature it on their show and you could find yourself being watched by millions of viewers!

You may want to start watching Lex and Terry at YawpBoxTV and take up their challenge for the next video assignment at the Lex and Terry Challenge page. Choose the category that works for you and then go ahead, upload something, anyone can be a star on this show, your 15 minutes of fame awaits.

My ex-colleague CF was in town to settle some business. We decided to meet and went downtown to have dinner at this touristy place. They have so many variety of food to choose and most were good, we ended up ordered too many things and we were stuffed!

Since this new movie place is so near where both of us live and we haven’t been there, we decided to pop in for a movie. We were not sure what were showing at this theater, but we picked “I am Legend” among a few others when we were there.

The movie starring Will Smith is kind of dark, eerie and emotionally shattering. Much of the firm is about the solitary and hopelessness of a single remnant in New York City, after a major epidemic of disease that killed everyone else. But, it’s not boring at all, the whole thing is rather beautifully haunting and genuinely moving.

I would think this movie is classified as action thriller, but this is not your normal loud and jittery action movie. There are quite a bit of melancholy scenes and contemplation that you normally won’t find in an action-thriller. Overall, it’s an entertaining movie, except for the last 10 minutes, the movie ended quite abruptly, maybe they were running out of budget. :-)

There are a few shows that I would love to watch again and again simply because the storyline is so mesmerizing or the emotion so intense. I like the shows “The Streetcar named Desire” and “Les Miserables”, had watched both of them twice. There is something about the plays, which if I could get my hands on the tickets, I would not hesitate to watch them again.

Broadway Musicals is something that I really enjoy, but I haven’t have too many chances to do that in the past few years since I moved back to this small town without a theater. But hopefully someday we could live nearer to a bigger city that has a decent theater with good shows put up. Stay hopeful! :-)

If you have ever watched a good play, you will probably know how hard it is to grab some good seats. But, the wonderful Internet has make life easy this days. Whether you are looking for tickets for concerts, shows or sport events, you can get them from brokers who have gone online now. You may be busy getting your Christmas gifts and running out of gift ideas for the men in your life. If your brother, father, husband or in law are sport fans, I am sure they would appreciate getting the Montreal Canadiens hockey tickets. You can get this tickets online now at Montreal Tickets. It’s a secure place to buy tickets online and guaranteed good seat. This certainly make one thoughtful and unique gift !!

To buy tickets from www.2tickets.ca is very easy. They have a very clean and well-designed website that allows you search for tickets according to artist, show or venue. You can use the search function if you have already in mind what you are looking for. If you are just looking for something interesting without a fixed idea yet, you can also browse for tickets according to the categories of concerts, shows and sports.

In the mid section of the homepage of the site, you can see it featured all the upcoming concerts of famous artists. You can order any of the Montreal Concert Tickets with a major credit card, to make sure that your orders arrive before Christmas, you need to complete your order before December 18th 3PM, hurry up, you have exactly one week left to do a nice gesture for your loved ones - get them tickets for events that they would like to attend!

All of us have heard of High Definition TV, but what is High Definition Radio, you may ask? High Definition Radio is the newest technology that enables AM and FM radio stations to broadcast their programs digitally. It’s a big leap from the analog broadcasts of the past and it’s considered the most significant advancement since the introduction of FM stereo more than 50 years ago.

Basically, digital radio works the same as the conventional radio. Signal being broadcast on one end and a receiver on the other end. The broadcast is free with no subscription, but the difference is you would need the HD Radio Receiver to hear the digital broadcast.

The coolest thing about this technology is the ability to just tag a song that you hear on the radio and buy it! How many times have you heard a song on the radio you’d really like to hear again? Wouldn’t it be great if you could just buy that particular song ?

With digital broadcasting, it’s possible to just do that with an iPod dock with iTunes Tagging. You simply hit the “tag” button when you hear a song you like on your local FM High Definition Radio station. This info will be saved into your iPod, and you can just purchase this song from Apple® iTunes Music Store the next time you sync your iPod to your computer. What a wonderful way to get your favorite music in pure crystal digital sound!

All the music lovers out there, you may want to check out the links to find out the local stations that have adopted this technology.
I have not watched much TV or soaps for the last few years. Saw this HK series that dad downloaded and burned into a DVD. I borrowed it and started watching it on Sunday afternoon. Got hooked and spent whole Sunday and Monday evening watching the first 15 episodes.

Like most soaps, this is addictive! Dad hasn’t finished downloading the second half of the dramas, and I can only borrow when he finished watching! Should I stay in suspend or try to download the rest of the episodes myself? :-)

Are you a fan of Stephen King? Have you read all his legendary tales of terror? I loved horror as a genre, not so much the slasher thing, I got tired of that very quickly. But, I grew up watching movies that scare the crap out of me. Well, of course, how can one claimed the love of the genre without reading or watching Stephen King’s works.:-)

There’s a new trailer out for Frank Darabont’s adaptation of The Mist by Stephen King. If you have read the book, you know it is a story about a freaky storm with unnatural fog in a small town in Maine. The small band of citizens of this small town got hole-up in a supermarket and had to fight for their life with all sort of blood-thirsty creatures living in the mist. To view the trailer, you can check out http://www.themist-movie.com/.

The trailer gives an up close and personal look at some of these creatures, including some bat-winged type of “things”, big insects to fear any bug zapper, and tentacles of unknown species. The trailer ends with several suspends and the shock and horror looks of the characters make me wonder what they were looking at. I found myself cursing the fact that I will have to wait until the film opens on November 21 before finding out that.

As I was watching the trailer I remembered the flood that happened last year. The town we lived were hit by a flash flood last year around December. It was raining cats and dogs for a couple of days and on the early morning of a Monday, the water started gushing out from no where (later we learned that it’s from the dam) and many areas were submerged in water within a couple of hours. Everyone was told to evacuate and boats were sent in to transport the victims to the evacuation centers.

Our house was not affected because it was on a higher ground, but I remember the tension building in the town as the afternoon and evening went on and the weather just didn’t let up. At some point everyone was told to leave their house to go to the evacuation centers. What was interesting to me was seeing some people going around to make sure everyone had left their house and some people were completely panicked. Some people were risking their lives, driving their trucks or pick-ups to the flooding areas to help to evacuate people. And believe it or not, some people were actually going around plundering the houses. I never forgot the people who fought for space and supplies at the evacuation centers. I must say, though the nature of human does rear its ugly head during an emergency situation like that, but the goodness of human nature also prevailed at the same time.

When I was in college in early 90s, an independent film, or an Indie film, is usually a low-budget, less commercially driven artsy film, which is remarkably different from the mainstream Hollywood. The films were usually not widely circulated, but there were always quite a following among those who have discerning taste for the distinguishable content and style of Indie films.

The affordability of high definition digital video cameras and user friendly computer editing software have certainly increased the visibility of Indie Films considerably in the last 15 years. And that’s evident by the high quality and the gender diversity of films that went to Sundance Film Festival in recent years.

If you would like to know the latest trend in Indie horror films and the neo-grindhouse movement, find out more from the website http://www.redscreamfilms.com. Though I am not a big fan of horror movies, the Indie horror films coming out on the site look pretty interesting. The site also has a ton of information on various topics of horror movies. Check it out if this is your cup of tea!
