We expected that it will take a month or two for me to recuperate after the surgery. And I properly can’t carry anything heavy for a while. Look like the move to IL has to be postponed another month or two.
Though we have sold some furniture few months ago, but we still have some electronics items and furniture to get rid of before the move. May have to put up an ad and do a yard sale after the surgery.
Our car insurance is due this month. Though we have decided to sell the car before the move to IL, we still have to renew the car insurance, don’t think we can drive around without an insurance! :-)
We would be happy to to able to sell the old junk for 2-3k! Looking at the second hand car market, we doubt we can get that! Consider we paid 11k for this old junk three years ago, the price has dropped like a bag of rocks, hasn’t it?
We want to sell the junk car before the move to IL. We have passed on the news to the people at the workshop and promised to give them a little commission if anyone they introduced end up buying the junk from us.
We still haven’t gotten any buyer because we are upfront with them, we told them that they need to spend some money fixing up the car, it needs an overhaul! The bearing of the engine needs some work. We have replaced a few things recently. Though it’s easy to get a used Nissan radiator and it doesn’t cost as much as a new Taurus Radiator, it still cost us a few hundred getting the radiator and water pump fixed.
The price of LCD flat screen TVs has become more affordable this days, you see them at the turn of every corner, practically everywhere you go!
During the recent trips to this offices to gather documents for the migration, I realized that most government offices have LCD TVs at the waiting area. The TVs are either hanging from the ceiling or wall with lcd mount.
In fact, have visited quite a few government offices in the last two months. I would say 9 out of 10 of this offices have more than one LCD TVs installed at the waiting area!
We have until 30th of April to clear the premises before passing it to the new owner. They are a few boxes of T-shirts, about 30 of them that we were trying get rid of. Have given most of them to the children, they kind of excited about that and wore the shirts to classes this week.
The shirts are promotional T-shirts that we printed when we first started running the after school care. In fact, we have some promotional pens made too. But, over the last three years, we have finished most of the pens, only the T-shirts were left in the store room!
