A little under the weather

Was not feeling well and slept my way through the weekend. Initially, people( my parents, siblings, niece and nephew) were sympathetic, well, who have not been sick before and not aware that it’s not fun? After a while, the incessant coughing/wheezing/sneezing is no different from a construction worker’s jack hammering just become tiresome and annoying to everyone. They all told me to go to sleep during broad daylight when I was coughing/wheezing/sneezing in the living room reading newspaper/watching TV (no, it’s not a plasma flat screen TV:-),  never mind that I just got up!

What to do? I practically slept more than 18 hours on Sunday and was well on Monday without taking any medication. Monday came I have none of children except one showed up in the preschool, and the only one that showed up was having a bad cough and a slight fever too. She did a little writing and then fell asleep on the couch ! I did call her mother to pick her up earlier, but her busy mother was late as usual. While waiting for her mother to arrive and after asking for her mother’s permission, I gave her a paracetamol for children to relieve her fever. Poor little girl obviously is also under the weather, wonder who spread the germs to who.:-)

Hope you all get well soon. I feel sorry when children fall ill. Get well soon.

Why do people insist on sending their kids to school when they are ill. It is how pandemics start. Honestly!

Feel well soon though. Carper Diem

That’s part of occupational hazards of working with kids. :-)
